A Community Collaboration, presented by the City of Brunswick, Cleveland Clinic, and Saint Ambrose Parish

Saint Ambrose Parish will host the annual city of Brunswick Soup and Chili Cook-off to raise awareness and funds in support of Pediatric Cancer Research at Cleveland Clinic Children’s.  The event will honor Collin Nemet, a Brunswick resident and Saint Ambrose member whose young life was taken by cancer earlier this year.

Pastors representing various congregations in Brunswick will serve as judges at the event and will voting on the top three soup or chili entries comprised by local restaurants. There will also be a “People’s Choice” winner voted on by attendees.

Raffle basket ticket sale and various gaming opportunities will be incorporated into the event as another way to raise funds. This event will bring together many different organizations within our Brunswick community in a collaborative and charitable way to produce a family-oriented/friendly event.

Kim Nemet, the mother of Collin Nemet, states, “Our community and parish families know how to come together for each other with such open and loving hearts. As a family who experienced a personal loss we are excited to be a part of an amazing chance to make a difference in so many lives.”
