Book Club

Wednesdays, beginning September 27 | 1:30 – 3:00 pm | Fr. McGivney

Book Club is a wonderful way to grow deeper in your faith.

We will be reading 2 powerful books that could be game-changers for your life and understanding.

The first book we will read is called Be Healed by Bob Schuchts. If you suffer from spiritual or emotional wounds that is keeping you from reaching your goals or being your best self, you must join us. Bob Schuchts is a retired Catholic therapist and has a popular program at the John Paul II Healing Center for spiritual, emotional, and physical healing. We will be lead through the book by Jen Ricard. Jennifer Ricard is the Executive Director of the non-profit organization Theology of the Body Cleveland. She completed a master’s degree in theology from St. Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology in Wickliffe, OH and has a certification from the Theology of the Body Institute. Jennifer and her husband, Frank, have been married for 29 years and have six children.

The second book we will read is Coming Soon Unlocking the Book of Revelation and Applying Its Lessons Today by Michael Barber. Is there a book of the Bible more often discussed and yet less understood than the Book of Revelation? The “seven seals.” The “dragon.” The “beast.” The “sea of glass.” The fantastic imagery found in the Book of Revelation has long captivated Christians but remains mysterious to many. In the midst of so much discussion about the end times, what does Revelation teach us about living in the present moment, with our eyes focused on the heavenly Jerusalem? This explores these questions by taking a detailed look at Revelation and its rich tapestry of prophecy, history, and biblical allusion.
