Lesson of the Week

Fun Activities & Printables!

Teach children the story of what happened after Jesus died and was buried. Finding Jesus’ tomb empty seemed like sadness on top of sadness for Jesus’ disciples and close followers, but it was the greatest discovery of all time.

John 20:21: Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”

Parents! Are you interested in receiving a curriculum to further teach your children about this lesson. Email knemet@stambrose.us for the lesson plan.

A Rosary for the Month of Mary

Prayers for Children

Take the time to say these prayers with your children. As parents, it’s our responsibility to teach them our beautiful Catholic faith. In a matter of months, your children may know all the prayers by heart, and can take turns leading them. Not only will it warm your heart to hear them, but throughout the years of their life they will have the comfort of saying these prayers.

Angel of God,
my guardian dear,
To whom God’s love
commits me here,
Ever this day,
be at my side,
To light and guard,
Rule and guide.
Amen.

Bless us O Lord, and these thy gifts,
Which we are about to receive, from thy bounty,
Through Christ, Our Lord.
Amen.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

My God,
I am sorry for my sins with all my heart.
In choosing to do wrong
and failing to do good,
I have sinned against you
whom I should love above all things.
I firmly intend, with your help,
to do penance,
to sin no more,
and to avoid whatever leads me to sin.
Our Savior Jesus Christ
suffered and died for us.
In his name, my God, have mercy. Amen.

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
cast into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help,
or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence,
I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother;
to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Amen.
