About This Ministry

The Social Concerns Commission at Saint Ambrose serves the parish through two key areas: Service and Advocacy/Awareness. The Service aspect includes ministries such as Catholic Works of Mercy, Culture of Life, Community Meal, Employment Network, Mission Possible, and other outreach efforts, each meeting according to its mission and needs. The Advocacy/Awareness aspect educates and informs the parish on social issues through resources like the bulletin, liturgies, parish website, newsletters, and educational programs. Together, these efforts help parishioners respond to the needs of others while forming both hearts and minds to make compassionate, faith-filled choices rooted in Catholic social teaching.
