RCIA – Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
Life is filled with many invitations! Some invitations can lead us to totally unexpected experiences. We extend to you an invitation that can lead you to a life of love, faith and hope as you learn to walk with the Lord.
If you have never been baptized and find yourself attracted to the Catholic faith, we extend to you an invitation to explore the possibilities of becoming a member of the Roman Catholic Church. If you have been baptized in another Christian faith tradition, we offer the invitation to join in full communion with the Catholic Church. Or, perhaps you have already been baptized in the Catholic faith but have never received the sacraments of Eucharist or Confirmation. Your invitation is to complete your sacraments of initiation. All of these invitations are to a new way of life, a way that draws one closer to God and to His people.
If you feel this invitation may be intended for you (or you know of someone you could pass it along to), ask us about how to go about responding to the invitation. Our Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process by which one can answer God’s invitation. Contact Fr. Bob Stec BStec@StAmbrose.us for more information.
This past year, almost 20 adults entered the Church at the Easter Vigil Mass and they each had a wonderful experience preparing for and receiving the sacraments. Check out their feedback below and join us this year to experience the RCIA process first hand!
“The RCIA journey has been a beautiful experience. It has helped me to form a closer and more meaningful relationship with God, my family, and my friends.” – Cynthia Brooks
“The RCIA experience has brought me closer to the message of Jesus, giving me a clear example of how to lead my life. This is not only an important message for me, but I will also be able to pass it down to my young daughters to help guide their lives.” – Rob Musson
“The RCIA classes have been a fun and enjoyable way to learn. I am noticing positive changes in my life and I’m very excited to be joining Saint Ambrose.” – Chad Petersen
“My favorite part of RCIA has been meeting an amazing group of people on a weekly basis. I look forward to joining the Church and completing RCIA, becoming part of an outstanding community of faith.” – Veronica Stewart
“The process for me has been amazing, to put it in one word. This whole experience has been eye-opening and comforting, I am so happy I have made this choice at this point in my life. I joined RCIA because I am getting married in October and I want to start my married life in the Church and with this community.” – Brittany Payne
“I’ve enjoyed learning from the speakers that have come in. I joined RCIA because I’ve been searching for a Church for a while. Before I decided to become Catholic I just never felt comfortable. I’ve always ended up finding myself coming to Saint Ambrose. I just felt this was the right place to be. I’m looking forward to being able to grow in my faith and fellowship.” – Maggie Pettry
