The stations are commonly used as a mini pilgrimage as you move from station to station. At each station, recall and meditate on that event from Christ’s last day. Recite the prayer that goes along with each station and move forward until you complete all 14 stations.

Have you ever wanted to step into our greatness, but keep tripping or not sure what the next step is or even what that greatness means?

Fr. Bearer will share with us how to break through our limits and live the life of greatness God has made us for and called us to. God, the Father, has so many blessings in store for us as His adopted Children in Christ. Come find out how to get to step into your greatness.

Fr. Jacob grew up in Painesville, OH. After a powerful moment of conversion at the end of high school he returned to his Catholic faith. Sensing the call to priesthood, he entered the seminary and continued to learn more about the mercy of Jesus and the healing presence of the Holy Spirit. When spending time with Peter’s Shadow (a ministry in the diocese that’s also connected with Encounter Ministries that draws disciples into the healing love of God), Fr. Jacob witnessed the transformative power of the Holy Spirit touch people’s lives in amazing ways. Now Fr. Jacob is the administrator of SS. Edward & Lucy in Geauga County and loves being a part of what God the Father is providing for his parish. Along with his love for Jesus in his Word and Sacraments, Jacob enjoys the good things in life like good laughs with friends, hunting and fishing outdoors, and watching a nice baseball game. God the Father has so many blessing in store for us as His adopted children in Christ. Fr. Jacob hopes this mission will draw everyone present into more and more of that greatness of God’s mercy.

The fastest growing religious group in the Western world is the “nones.”  No not the “nuns” but the “nones,” those who do not identify with any religious affiliation. In the United States, the “nones” recently surpassed the Roman Catholics. People are leaving the church.  We are losing 3,000+ people a day.  Now is time for a new evangelization…a real evangelization.

When I was a kid, my family used to drive down to Florida every year for winter break. About a month before each trip, my dad would stay up late every night after work to fix up the old station wagon… and I had to hold the light. It was in these few weeks, with my dad, holding the light, before the big trip, that taught me everything about Lent. A short, animated reflection on Lent.
