Advent Faith & Fellowship Groups

4 Week Series begins November 27!

Advent is a great time to join a Faith & Fellowship Group to connect with other women, men, and couples in your faith and form strong bonds and friendships that can last years. Saint Ambrose is offering an Advent 4-week series starting the week of November 27th. The best part is you can pick a time that fits your busy schedule. You can meet at the church, a restaurant, or your home. Don’t miss this great opportunity to connect in faith this Advent as we await the Christ Child.

Advent Selections to choose from include:

  • Rejoice: Advent Meditations with Joseph by Fr. Mark Toups OR
  • Advent Meditations with the Holy Family by Fr. Mark Toups
    • In both versions, each Day, you’ll walk with the Holy Family and enjoy

-A reflection – Learn more about their lives, the culture in which they were raised, and the world in which they lived.

-A Psalm – Each day, you’re given a Psalm to pray (just as Mary and Joseph would have prayed) to help you enter into prayer.

-A reading – In reading Scripture, you’ll enter into the story of the first Advent, and walk beside the Holy Family.

-A prompt – Space is provided each day to journal. Record how the Lord is speaking to you this Advent.

    • A word – Focus on a single word each day to draw out the details, the specifics of the Holy Family.

  • The True Meaning of Christmas by Michael Barber -What does the Bible really say about the birth of Jesus? How did the celebration of Christmas become associated with things like Santa Claus and decorated trees? In The True Meaning of Christmas: The Birth of Jesus and the Origins of the Season, biblical scholar Michael Patrick Barber offers an inspiring look at the Bible’s accounts of Jesus’ birth and the development of the Christmas season.
