Upcoming Faith Build!

We are building a stronger community…in so many ways!

On Saturday, we need sixty of our members to help for three to four hours and build the walls of a Habitat for Humanity home. It’s fun!

There’s a way everyone can help (nail, cut, hold a 2×4). Mostly, it will create a new home for a family in our local community.

Experience firsthand how God touches the hearts of new homeowners and the volunteers who work alongside them. Saint Ambrose is partnering with Habitat for Humanity and Engelke Construction Solutions to help a local family build a new home that will be permanently rooted here in Brunswick. We need your help to make this dream a reality!

  • Coffee, bottled water and refreshments will be provided during the event.
  • All volunteers are asked to bring their own hammer.
  • Please note: Volunteers must be 16 and over to be added to the ‘official’ volunteer count. Children that are between the ages of 5 and 15 may be present, but should not fill a spot. Simply include their name(s) and age(s) in the comment section when you sign up. For safety reasons, we ask that no children under the age of 5 be on-site.

Medina County Habitat for Humanity Partnership

Saint Ambrose will be supporting the efforts of the Medina County Habitat for Humanity Organization in various upcoming projects.

What is Habitat for Humanity Medina County all about?

It is the ReStore… a retail building materials sales center that is open to the public. The ReStore receives donations of new, and like new, usable materials from local businesses and individuals. The current location has been sold and they are moving to a new home!

It is Partnering with Families… Habitat builds homes at reduced cost to families with limited incomes who contribute their own “sweat equity” in the building of homes for themselves.

It is Volunteering… There are many ways that you can become involved to “Build Hope” with Medina County Habitat, from helping with their ReStore to volunteering on a build site.

Questions? Please contact Bridgit Castrigano or Jake Bihari.
