Email your resume to the Saint Ambrose Employment Ministry at st.ambrose.employment.ministry@gmail.com with the subject “Request for Career Mentoring.” Within one week, you will be contacted by a member of our ministry to serve as your mentor.
Career Counseling Available
The Saint Ambrose Employment Ministry offers one-on-one career coaching to parishioners and other area residents interested in career changes, whether new to the job market or experienced employees and managers.
We offer personalized career coaching, which is tailored depending on where a candidate is in their search process. For example, we:
- Coach job seekers on leveraging their strengths
- Offer suggestions to improve their resume, personal marketing plan, and social media presence
- Refer them to other services in the parish, such as the Living Your Strengths workshops, Catholic Works of Mercy, and Stephen Ministry
- Conduct practice job interviews
- Help navigate current (i.e., online) job search/application techniques
- Share contacts in our networks who may be able to assist them
- We also post open positions we learn about on the parish’s LinkedIn page.

Cafeteria Manager

The Middle School/Junior High School (grades 6-8) Campus Minister works in cooperation and collaboration with Saint Ambrose Catholic School faculty and staff, parish officials, and the middle school/junior high school youth ministry team to enliven, animate, and activate students’ relationship with Jesus and our school and parish Catholic identity.
This position reports to the Pastor of Saint Ambrose Parish and the Head of Schools/Principal of Saint Ambrose Catholic School.
The Campus Minister develops and implements spiritual programs and religious/service activities that:
- Deepen students’ relationship with Jesus Christ as they yearn for prayer and personal encounters with the Lord – a personal relationship.
- Enhance the culture and Catholic identity/charisms of our school and parish community.
- Develop and strengthen opportunities to form the minds and hearts of our middle school/junior high students so they become missionary disciples in leading and serving our school and parish communities, society, and the Church.
- Discern and offer ways to support parents and the family unit in leading a faith-filled life.
Requirements
- Must have Catholic experience in teaching and/or worship.
- Be VIRTUS-trained and have clear background screening.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills – high energy, positive, influential and collaborative; must be able to work with middle school/junior high school age students in Catholic school and parish environment.
- Have excellent organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to details.
- Have excellent communication skills, especially verbal (in person and over the phone) and written skills.
Responsibilities:
- Strengthen and build a culture focused on the relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Organize class and school-wide liturgies including Mass, Adoration, and prayer services.
- Plan and lead middle school/junior high ministry programming on Sundays beginning with 5:00 pm Mass.
- Plan and execute student retreats both on and off campus.
- Plan and implement service opportunities and social justice programs.
- Enhance the relationships between Saint Ambrose Catholic School and Saint Ambrose Parish and keep the school and parish community abreast of relevant faith-based programs.
- Provide opportunities and encouragement for students in grades 6-8 to serve in leadership roles in ministry to the school and parish community.
- Foster an environment of faith that embraces students and encourages them to become vital members of Saint Ambrose Parish, Saint Ambrose Catholic School, and the Catholic Church.
- Witness both intellectually and spiritually to the life of missionary discipleship as one of joy and fulfillment.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Pastor and/or Head of Schools/Principal.
In addition:
- Is regularly visible to students and creates an open and approachable environment to encourage all students to seek and develop a spiritual foundation in their lives.
- Attends weekend and Holy Day Masses, welcome events, and other related parish and school functions.
- Meets regularly with the Pastor and/or Head of Schools/Principal to review the week’s activities and discuss ideas, plans, and issues.

Cafeteria Manager

Saint Ambrose Catholic School is currently looking for a cafeteria manager to oversee the total operation of the school lunch program. This is a 6.25 hour position, Monday – Friday.
