Mental Health Emergencies Training

Monday, March 16 | 6:00 pm in the Mother Teresa Room

What to Do in the Moment
When a mental health crisis happens, the heat of the moment is not the time to be alone.
Saint Ambrose Mental Health Ministry and NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) invite you to an informative and compassionate evening on Monday, March 16 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm in the Mother Teresa Room. Together, we will help individuals and families understand what to do—and what not to do—during mental health emergencies.
Join us to learn about the following:
- Crisis Intervention Teams (CIT): specially trained police officers who assist in handling and de-escalating crises.
- NAMI Helplines: numbers that connect individuals and families to mental health resources.
- 988 Lifeline: the national number to call during a mental health emergency.
- Suicide Response Teams: trained professionals who support families and survivors of suicide loss.
This evening will be facilitated by Saint Ambrose Mental Health Ministry leader Dr. Dobie Moser in a true no-judgment zone. Hospitality, reflection, community, and prayer will be included.
