About This Ministry

The Prayer Shawl Ministry creates handmade shawls, lap blankets, and baptismal afghans to bring comfort, warmth, and spiritual encouragement to those who are ill, grieving, or celebrating new life. Each piece is lovingly knit or crocheted, then brought to church to be blessed, serving as a tangible reminder of God’s presence, love, and hope. Volunteers gather weekly on Thursdays to create together in fellowship, though many also serve from home. This ministry welcomes anyone who enjoys knitting or crocheting and desires to use their gifts in a meaningful way to share compassion and brighten someone’s journey.
