Our Parish Pastoral Council is leading a pastoral planning effort called “Gaudium et Spes – Joy and Hope.” The title comes from the Second Vatican Council document on the Church which was released sixty years ago today (December 7, 1965). This document was reflecting on the Church in the Modern World. At the heart of the vision laid out was a profound effort to “read the signs of the times” so that the Gospel could be proclaimed and lived in ever new and fresh ways.
Our Parish Council is going to lead our parish over the next year to listen and reflect deeply on the new ‘signs of the times’ that we, as a community of faith, need to hear so we can best respond to the spiritual and pastoral needs of our members and their families.
