Thanksgiving Community Meal

About This Ministry

Each Thanksgiving, Saint Ambrose Parish, through our Catholic Works of Mercy Team, shares Christ’s love by feeding more than 11,000 people in our community. Volunteers assist with every part of this large outreach effort, including setting up the building, transporting and preparing food, wrapping silverware, assembling placemats, cooking, and serving meals. There is truly a role for everyone, and every helping hand makes a difference. A dedicated planning team works year-round to coordinate this ministry, while volunteer sign-ups for preparation and Thanksgiving Day service open online each November. It is a powerful way to live our faith through service.
