Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Inviting Children Grades K-3
During Mass at 4:30 pm Saturday, 9:00 am and 10:30 am Sunday
We all know young children can have trouble sitting still during Mass. At CLOW, they can listen and ask questions while we discuss the readings and Gospel. It’s amazing to see them engage!
The priest will invite them to come forward after the Opening Prayer, receive a blessing and head to the chapel with our catechist.
They’ll return right after the homily…giving you a chance to really listen, too. Children receive a take-home activity sheet which enhances the weekly lesson from the gospel.
No need to sign up! Just tell your children and grandchildren about CLOW and encourage them to join.

“Mom! Do I get to go CLOW every time at Church?! I liked it a lot.” – Skylar, 6 years old
“I wanted to reach out to both of you and say a big THANK YOU for continuing the CLOW lessons for our kiddos! This is a huge support for our little ones who aren’t too sure what is going on, but understanding that things are different. Kim Nemet and I grew up together, so after 10:30 mass today, I texted her personally thanking her for continuing to be there to worship with our younger kiddos. Thank you so much for all you are doing! As we are seeing everywhere, we are all in this together! Thank you for being that constant for all of us!!”
– Jill and Ben Kendrick and Family
Interested in leading CLOW?
Parents, we could use a few more adults!
It’s a wonderful time guiding our children through the readings. It’s simple and easy, right during Mass, and only once or twice a month. The readings and lessons are provided for you! You just read and often just follow the children’s lead. Afterwards, you’ll feel a sense of joy getting to experience God’s Word through our young friends hearts and minds.
Please email Janet Majka at [email protected] if you are interested in giving it a try!
