Divine Mercy Prayer Team
The contemplation of Mercy in daily life is the characteristic aspect in the school of Saint Faustina’s spirituality.
Saint Faustina Kowalska recounted in her diary that Jesus told her to, “Pray as much as you can for the dying. By your prayers, obtain for them trust in My mercy, because they have most need of trust, and have it least.” He also said, “At the hour of their death, I defend as My own glory every soul that will say this chaplet (of Divine Mercy); or when others say it for a dying person, the pardon is the same.” (Diary of St. Faustina, 811)
Jesus asks us to pray that others are open to the mercy of God at the end of their lives.
The role of Divine Mercy Prayer Team is important when our priests go to offer the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, especially for the dying. Members of the team will receive an email with the first name of the person receiving the Sacrament, for whom at that time you will pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet as soon as you are able. As you are able, pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet during Eucharistic Adoration for those who will be dying that hour.
If you would like to get involved with this ministry, simply call or email the parish office at frontoffice@stambrose.us and ask to be added to the “Divine Mercy Prayer Team.”
Divine Mercy Cenacle at Saint Ambrose Parish
The Divine Mercy Cenacle are groups which meet…
– to pray for and encourage the vocations of the priesthood and the religious life.
– to also pray and work for an end to the scourge of abortion in the world.
– to experience the splendor of our Catholic Faith through the study of Sacred Scripture and the Catechism and the Diary of Saint Faustine Kowalska.
– to encourage members in the exercise of the Faith through the spiritual and corporal works of mercy, and to help people to become sensitive to the gift and beauty of all life, especially through the care for the “lepers” of today.
Join them every second Monday of the month at 11:00 am or 7:00 pm. For more information about the devotion of “Divine Mercy,” contact Mary Beth Garrity at mbbonaventure@gmail.com for the pm group and Terry Scully at terry10475@sbcglobal.net for the am group or sign up below.
