Patients Can Receive the Eucharist

Our Good Samaritans Ministry is an amazing group of people who donate their time to visit patients in the hospital. Deacon Frank has continued to stay in touch with Medina Hospital and has been able to give the gift of the Eucharist when patients have requested it. If you have a friend or family member in the hospital, please make sure they know that they can receive communion if they would like to.

Visitation Policy: Patients may only entertain one visitor per day and they must designate that individual beforehand. The medical staff can decide to disallow that visit if they feel that the patient’s medical status warrants it.

A Note From Deacon Frank: If a patient wishes to receive the Eucharist, they must call St. Ambrose or me and I will bring Communion to them. My visit no longer counts as their visit for the day, they may see me and have an additional visitor….. that’s the current policy. I have been to Medina hospital, although rarely, during this pandemic …. but only upon request.”
