Holy Day of Obligation: Feast of the Solemnity of Mary, January 1

The first day of the year (January 1) is the Feast of the Solemnity of Mary.  It’s a holy day of obligation.  It’s also the perfect way to start the new year.  As Mary made her ‘yes’ to the Lord, her life was blessed and full of grace.  We come together in prayer and ask God to bless our ‘yes’.

May the new year – and each day of our lives – be blessed as we give ourselves more completely to the Lord.
