Welcome to Saint Ambrose Parish Online Mass & Services

God promises to be with us, in our midst, now and always. We come together in prayer as thousands are ‘tuning in’ online. This is a great blessing for our community. God is speaking to us given all the challenges of our times. God wants us to live, to be alive, to be full of life, to have God’s Spirit in us. Take some time to see the wonderful opportunities that are available to you during this time. Please feel free to share the website with your family and friends so they may join you from anywhere. Thank you for joining us for Mass.

How to Make the Most of Streaming Mass

Thank God for some of the wonderful technology that allows us to stay connected to the Lord and each other. Streaming the Mass from our Church is a way to bring some of God’s House into your home. It is best to watch from our website, rather than Facebook (too many distractions).

Helpful Tips:

  • Try connecting your laptop to your TV via HDMI cord. If you have a Smart TV, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV or similar device, you can use the internet app to go to our website from your TV.
  • Be intentional about it with your family…pray and reflect together as a family before Mass begins to get in the right mindset; even set up some chairs as if you were in Church. Come up with special needs and intentions that you (and your family) want to remember in prayer at Mass. We invite you to submit your Prayer Request & Intentions on our web page and we will remember them at Mass.
  • Get rid of distractions…food, books, TV, other devices, etc.
  • Follow along with the Mass readings and all the responses. (View today’s readings.) If you can, print them out prior to Mass. It will help you focus on God’s Word.
  • Invite your family and friends to join you/us by sharing the website: www.StAmbrose.us/WatchMass

Spiritual Communion Prayer

We will pray this special prayer together after Communion to help you focus on the Spiritual Communion we receive through spending this time in prayer.

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.

We are a Catholic community of faith,
centered on Jesus Christ, who is everything for us.

Thank you so much St. Ambrose, Father Bob for all you do for us during these stressful days. By watching Mass daily helps me get through these days with beautiful sermons of faith, hope and love.
Mary

I watched (and tele-participated in) your 9:00 Mass this morning. It was an inspiring liturgy in a beautiful sacred space, and we thank you for making it available on the web. We hope you don’t mind if we tell a few friends about the wonderful opportunity you’ve created. Many blessings to you! Stay well!

Carl

Thank you for making Sunday Mass available online. My husband is immuno-compromised so we are self-isolating as much as possible. My sister, sent me your link so we could still “attend” Mass. What a beautiful church and liturgy you are sharing.

Michelle

We just watched the 10:30 Mass on your website. I feel so blessed to be a member of St. Ambrose. The Mass was beautiful and I felt the presence of God. Your sermon was perfect. I have never missed Mass in my life. Partly because of my 12 years of Catholic education with the good nuns. It was really bothering me because we choose not to come and you helped me feel good about the decision we made. It was a very difficult one. Thank you for all you do.

Maureen

Thank you for offering this technology! I utilized the Broadcast of yesterday’s 4:30 service and it felt like I was still there! As a healthcare worker I noticed that although the attendance was much less than usual, people still sat close to each other. We are blessed with a beautifully updated and LARGE Church. My choice to stay home wasn’t as much for myself as the safety of others. So many of us aren’t going to develop severe symptoms of this virus and won’t realize that we can be carriers to others who are high risk. I believe we will all need to be proactive and consistent in giving that loving reminder to each other. Since we all feel so comfortable inside the walls of our Church many will not recognize the need to still keep that distance.

Stacy

Hello Father Bob and the rest of the staff who made the 3/22/2020 10:30 am mass possible! On this beautiful sunny, spring morning, Jasna and I virtually attended mass by casting the live stream on our TV. It worked great!!!! We were able to pray and to join in the singing. Thank you for making this possible. Our thanks to you Father Bob, your server, the two readers, the women who leads us in song, the pianist and other musicians and of course the videographer. We have sent the link to our children who all live out of the area. Next Sunday, we can attend mass as a family, if remotely. Thank you for this opportunity.

Just as in the reading, the lord helped the blind man to see by rubbing clay on his eyes, your live stream is helping the parish to see mass and come into the light!
We pray for all of your physical and spiritual health.

Jim and Jasna

Thank you for streaming the daily mass. Please thank the music ministry for their participation to enhance the experience. Please thank Helen for sharing the word of God. It is good to partake in this blessing every day to remind us we can find peace and grace through God’s love and his holy mass. St. Ambrose is truly a blessing in all of our lives.

Jean

Thank you so much for providing the daily mass live stream. I am a daily mass goer for my whole life and I am 59. It is almost painful not being able to receive the daily Eucharist. I thirst so deeply for it. The scripture readings, the beautiful singing and homilies with the words of encouragement you provide daily are carrying me though and giving me spiritual strength. Thank yo so much to Lisa a member of your St. Stephen’s ministry team who told my sister and shared this gift with me. God Bless!

Debbie

Thank you for being proactive with the mass streaming option at this time. I have a compromised immune system. Obviously I am more susceptible to infections. Both my wife and I are 73 and fit into that “elderly” category. We both feel fit but we know our immune systems are not as effective as younger people. We agree with the scientific experts and felt this social distancing was appropriate for us. We felt like we were in church. We prayed, listened, responded, and sang like we were at a live mass. Thank you for watching out for your parishioners.

Richard

So appreciate you live streaming your weekday masses. It was beautiful this morning. I know there our other Masses on TV, but watching priests I know in a church that feels like home was very special. I will be watching daily and praying for you and all priests. Thank you so much.

Mary

I participated in this afternoon’s 4:30pm streamed Mass. It was the first time that I had watched a St. Ambrose Mass online. I thought it was beautiful. It almost felt like I was there. I actually have a Breaking Bread missal here at home so I was following the readings using that. But I hope this won’t last longer than 3 to 4 weeks because I do miss seeing everyone. Seeing a streamed version of a person is one thing; seeing that person in the flesh is another thing totally.

Cathy

Thank you so much for such an uplifting mass tonight! Especially the special prayers for health care workers. We are really struggling emotionally. I loved the mass so much, my TV is off and I am watching our mass again. Hugs!

Deb

Just watched the morning Mass! Thank you to you and your staff for bringing Mass to us and inspiring us. During these unprecedented times, it’s wonderful to be part of the Family of God and Saint Ambrose. Keep doing what you are doing. May we rise above this stronger and more united. May God keep you and your staff healthy today and always.

Mary

Thank you for the opportunity to really feel as if I was attending a Mass in person today. Going to church is an important part of my week. THE important part. I am elderly, in my eighties, and the physical side of going is getting harder all the time but I pray for the strength each time. With this new health warning, it is important to keep our faith alive and I think the live streaming of your Mass is a gift.
